About Sian Sibley

Sian Sibley is a witch, author and teacher based in South Wales. Her practice is ecological witchcraft, a path built on the belief that the land is alive, that its spirits can be met, and that our separation from the living world lies at the root of the ecological crisis. She holds an MSc in Applied Biology and an MA in Ecology and Spirituality, awarded with distinction, and brings that grounding to her magical work.

Her book Black Paths and Green Cathedrals: A Guide to Ecological Paganism (Aeon Books) is a call to return. It traces how we came to be disconnected from nature and how we might find our way home. Sian guides readers into relationship with land spirits and thirteen sacred trees, from the protective hawthorn to the dark and boundary-keeping blackthorn. She draws on Charubel’s plant sigils, folklore, herbal tradition and her own encounters with the spirits of the trees. The result is a practice rooted in place, in kinship and in care for the Earth.

Her other books include Unveiling the Green and Drinking Tea and Herding Spiders. Pagan Portals – Medusa and The Slow and Fatal Dance are forthcoming. She teaches through the DragonOak Magical Workshops, runs the Ecological Witchcraft Patreon and organises magical conferences. She also holds a sixth dan in martial arts.
