About Frances Billinghurst
Frances Billinghurst been curious about the inner workings of the universe for most of her life. Through exploring various esoteric sciences and philosophical approaches in an attempt to gain a better understanding of her place within the cosmos, she developed a deep interest in earth-centric spiritualities, ancient cultures, mythology, metaphysics, sacred ceremony and ritualistic practices to assist in connecting with the Divine, “the Other” (however, this is perceived).
Having gained qualifications in an assortment of alternative healing practices, and even undergoing initiations into Mystery traditions, Frances interweaves these threads together through her work in the Mystical Soul Academy.
Frances readily shares the thoughts she has pondered and the knowledge she has gained through various formats, offering presentations, workshops and courses on all manner of mythological, esoteric and magical themes, as well as holding open ceremonies for anyone who is interested in experiencing this sacred connection with “the Other”.
A prolific writer, Frances is the author of Dancing the Sacred Wheel (dedicated to the seasonal festivals in the Southern Hemisphere), Encountering the Dark Goddess: A Journey into the Shadow Realms, and On Her Silver Rays: A Guide to the Moon, Myth and Magic, as well as being the editor of Call of the God: An Anthology Exploring the Divine Masculine within Modern Paganism.
